Sunday Morning Worship 9:00AM    Sunday School | Bible Study 10:15AM

Greetings

Grace and peace be with you all, in Jesus Christ our Savior,
We continue to keep Mark Haselhuhn in our prayers as he is still at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. Lord, in your mercy rest your healing hand upon Mark and grant to him your peace. AMEN
We congratulate two of our Spring graduates this year: Laurence O’Neil- Nicolet Bible Institute in Wisconsin, and Jacob Schemm- U. of Nebraska at Lincoln, NE. May God’s blessings be with you in your future endeavors.
Sunday is the 7th and final Sunday in the season of Easter. Our worship theme will be: Our Lord, who was taken up in glory, now intercedes for us at our Father’s right hand. Our sermon text and theme will be: Col 3:1-10 Seek Those Things that Are Above. Sunday will be our last day of Sunday school and Bible classes for this school year.
Following our classes on Sunday, at 11:15am, we will have a Sunday school picnic. Everyone is invited to join us. Pulled pork and buns will be provided, feel free to bring a salad and/or dessert to share. There be games and activities as well. If you have a favorite game, please bring it along.
Next Tuesday the Quilters will meet at 9:00am in the church basement. Everyone is welcome to join us.
On Wednesday, Rose Marie and I will travel to Wisconsin to attend Call Day at the Seminary on Thursday morning and Seminary Graduation on Friday morning. Two of our former members, Karl DeMarce and Erik Lund will be getting calls into the public ministry and graduating. We do wish them God’s blessing.
Rose Marie and I will be staying in the Milwaukee area and attending a Mission Festival Sunday morning in Marshall, WI. This is the congregation that made Valentines and sent them to the churches of the ULC. A Zoom conversation will be set up for Bishop Horpynchuk to address the congregation. We will return Sunday afternoon.
Bible class for next Thursday is cancelled. Next Sunday Pastor Martin Hoesch will lead our worship service.
Wishing you God’s blessing on your weekend, I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday.
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Col 3:1
