From the Pastor

Today’s Thought 5/16 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe. Gn 12:10God’s providence is always something to marvel at. There’s too much rain in one area, and at the same time, not enough in another area. Where we live, there are seasons of flooding and seasons of drought. It’s just a reminder that no place is entirely free of imperfections or needs. But as we mature in our faith we realize that God always has a reason for the things he does. Abram needed to learn that he could trust in God to provide for him, no matter where he was or in what condition he found himself. He would fail this test in Egypt, miserably, yet it would prepare him for future events that he would encounter while leading God’s people. The famine in Canaan, and Abram’s need to go to Egypt, served a purpose. Likewise, we learn to appreciate the good and bad in our lives because each has its purpose as well. Prayer: Help me Lord to better appreciate how you use everything in my life for a purpose, so that I consider each situation as a learning experience. AMEN ... See MoreSee Less

Our Mission

To fulfill the Great Commission

In His Great Commission, Christ himself instructed us to go out among the world and teach the saving truth exactly as He told us and to baptize in His Triune Name. He has called to all of us, who once lived in the darkness of unbelief, to follow Him and to learn to live anew.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Mattew 28:19–20
