From the Pastor
Today’s Thought 5/2 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. Gn 11:8Was the confusion of tongues and scattering of the people throughout the world a blessing, or was it a punishment? When God scattered the people and made unity difficult, because of the language barriers, he divided people into groups. It brought about diversity, both politically and spiritually. It also thwarted the ambitions of a few to control the many. We see the wisdom of God’s actions when we witness dictatorships and the harm they can inflict on a society. But there is one common bond that can unite all people, and that is the gospel. The gospel, in any language, unites people and establishes peace and harmony. The same can be said of families who, while speaking the same language, are very much separated by actions and words that caused hurt and division. The gospel can also unite them again, in a common family of believers. Prayer: Father, because of our sinful pride, people and nations often have a difficult time co-existing. Thank you for sending your Son to die for us sinners, it is this gospel message that unites people. AMEN
Our Mission
To fulfill the Great Commission
In His Great Commission, Christ himself instructed us to go out among the world and teach the saving truth exactly as He told us and to baptize in His Triune Name. He has called to all of us, who once lived in the darkness of unbelief, to follow Him and to learn to live anew.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
