From the Pastor

Today’s Thought 9/2 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” 1 Kgs 3:9Solomon responded to God’s offer, to give him anything that he wanted, by asking for a discerning heart so as to be a good leader. With leadership comes a great deal of responsibility. In many respects this is a wonderful request by any of us today. So many times we are in positions of determining what is right and what is wrong. As a spouse, a parent, a teacher, or any type of leader. We need discerning hearts. Being able to act and lead morally is a blessing that affects other people’s lives as well. A discerning heart is also necessary when it comes to our conversations with others, not to be offensive or demeaning. A discerning heart is quite simply something of great value and worthy to be prayed for. Prayer: Father, give me a discerning heart as well so that I might be a better family member, neighbor, and friend. Help me to consider the concerns and needs of others before I speak or act. Our Mission

To fulfill the Great Commission

In His Great Commission, Christ himself instructed us to go out among the world and teach the saving truth exactly as He told us and to baptize in His Triune Name. He has called to all of us, who once lived in the darkness of unbelief, to follow Him and to learn to live anew.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Mattew 28:19–20
